About me

About me

Hey, I’m Tatiana! For a long time, I lived life in the fast lane. Despite a demanding service profession at a German airline, I simultaneously embarked on an exciting, yet even more nerve-wracking, journey into self-employment as a handmade entrepreneur.

But eventually, it all became too much. I gave up my self-employment and finally started doing something I had always wanted to do: travel the world at my own pace and discover places that weren’t on my monthly schedule.

No pressure. No stress.
Then, my creativity returned.

I rediscovered my love for photography. For writing. And decided to document my adventures online.

Today, on The Happy Jetlagger, I share personal moments, tips for great boutique hotels, and my insider knowledge so you can travel with ease.

I want to show you that travel is more than just beautiful photos. It can change your way of thinking, broaden your horizons, and open up new perspectives in your life.

FAQ

I chose a profession early on where travel is simply part of the job, allowing me to get to know all of Europe and a bit of the rest of the world. Nowadays, I work there part-time and dedicate the rest of my time to the blog.

It varies. I earn from display advertising, receive commissions through affiliate links, and occasionally collaborate with various clients from the travel industry (e.g., tourism organizations, hotels or other brands).

I do all of that myself! And it’s not as difficult as you think. I can only recommend not outsourcing it – it’s actually a lot of fun to design your own website.

Basically, there’s no country I wouldn’t travel to. For me, that’s the essence of travel: to visit countries and regions that push your own limits and perhaps broaden your horizons. However, unsafe countries where I would expose myself to potential dangers are a no-go. (I’m not that adventurous ;))

Mallorca is my second home, which I naturally love for that reason alone. But Southeast Asia also holds a magical appeal for me, for example, Thailand or Laos.

I definitely want to go to South Africa again. And Tanzania. And Indonesia. And and and ;)

Because of my job, I was always traveling a lot and saw so many amazing places that I couldn’t mentally process it all anymore. So I tried to capture everything in pictures; ideally in a way that I could immediately relive the feeling of being there. That’s how my own photographic style emerged.

Good news! I know all too well how much I wished for tips from experienced bloggers back then. That’s why I’ll soon be sharing all my accumulated knowledge with you. If you want to stay up to date, simply subscribe to my newsletter.
